My earliest favourite memory as a kid was playing ps1 demos with my brothers. I sucked at pretty much everything I played, but I wasn't going to let that stop me. My second favourite was playing GTA Vice City in the summer holidays, wearing nothing but a Thunderbirds dressing gown and drinking flat cola and eating leftover out-of-date chocolate from Christmas. In Secondary School one of the classrooms had a Xbox hidden away, which eventually almost half of everyone in our year ended up at, taking turns playing Call Of Duty with each other. Teachers soon put a stop to that. I discovered more story-driven games in my teens like, Bioshock, Dead Space, Fallout 3. The reality is these aren't just my memories, they are hundreds of thousands of other kids, now grown-ups, who grew up, lived on these consoles/ games. Some of these games are unplayable now and remakes can only bring so much charm back, nostalgia can be an asshole. We created Totally Tubular, to make awesome merchandise that reminded us of those times.
